Welcome back!

 
I took this picture on a whim and surprised myself when I got done adjusting the color saturation and saw it full-size.
Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who was surprised. My daughter walked into the room, looked at the picture and said, “You took that?”
That was about the highest complement I can imagine.

Another example of the wonderful sunsets we get around here. I grew up in a big city and, between the smog and the manmade obstructions, shots like this just didn’t happen more than once or twice in a decade. Out here in the middle of nowhere, this is an every-evening show.

POTD 8/15/08

One thing I really like about living way out in the middle of nowhere is the sunsets we get.
I took this the other night and applied the techniques I learned in that HDR tutorial a few days ago. I’m VERY pleased with this result.
