There are several things about this shot that appeal to me: the yucca plant in bloom, the almost-parallel lines in the grass, and the rich colors in the sky, particularly over the house.

I was looking through my collection of photos and happened upon this shot of the convention center in Hot Springs, Arkansas. This is where my daughter’s high school commencement ceremony was held. I really like Hot Springs; it’s a shame I probably won’t be going back there now that my daughter isn’t attending school there.
