I’m just a guy who has an interest in photography. I got a digital camera a few years ago and I’ve enjoyed learning about it and I thought I’d use this space to share what I’ve learned and what I am still learning as well as, occasionally, pictures I’ve created.

One Man’s Focus is a resource for reviews, tutorials, demonstrations, and explanations of photography-related equipment, software, techniques, and terms. It is intended for anyone from the novice to the more advanced photographer.

Since web hosting is not free and I’m on a fixed income, there will more than likely be the occasional paid post or contextual link. My opinion expressed in any posts I write will not be affected by payment. If I think something is a piece of junk I’m going to say so. If an advertiser doesn’t want me to do that, then I won’t be writing for that advertiser.

I am not, by any stretch of the imagination, a teacher - nor do I have the least little desire to become one. It is my intention to share what I have learned in plain, non-Vulcan English (to quote my favorite Starfleet Medical Officer), and I am willing to make a reasonable attempt at clarifying what I’ve said, if asked, but I reserve the right to direct you somewhere else if I cannot satisfactorily answer your questions.
