If you had to start buying your photography equipment from scratch and you had a budget of $2000 (U.S.), what camera, lenses, accessories, lighting equipment, etc. would you buy?

That’s the position I find myself in. Because of events beyond my control, I no longer have any of my camera equipment, however, in a couple of months or so I expect to have a couple of thousand dollars I can use to replace it all with. I’m asking for your help in deciding what I hould be looking at.
